Professional Curriculum Vitae page for Christopher B. Faust.
Are you looking for a strong IT Leader?
Do
you have a dysfunctional IT Support Team?
You're
in luck Chris is available for
Hire.
As
a highly dedicated IT
professional for over 20 years Chris has had a variety of unique
experiences
and challenges that have molded him into a strong, capable IT
leader who
can build world class support teams, motivate employees and implement
solid
customer-service-based solutions to improve the overall IT support for
the
company.
Professional
Experience:
Chris
has had a variety of
experiences and challenges that have made him a valuable asset to any
organization. He has vast experience in many areas including
International, Large Enterprise, Project Management, Vendor Management,
Service
Desk Improvements, Desktop Support, Solution development, Application
Support
Management, and Customer Service.
International Experience:
Living abroad in the Pacific Rim for 6+ years has given Chris an
opportunity to learn and develop a strong leadership ability with
differing
cultures and attitudes along with learning more about the "American"
culture. While working abroad Chris was instrumental in the rapid
build-out of
multiple call centers in the Philippines, India, and China. His
ability
and wiliness to get to "Ground Zero" of the projects improves the
overall drive and communication which allows them to come in on time
and under
budget.
Chris is currently looking for another new international adventure to
embark
on. The Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Europe are on the
top of
the list.
Large Enterprise:
Chris has worked for over nine years in a fortune 250 enterprise
that had
over 400 locations and roughly 20,000 desktops. This experience
has
prepared him for the chaotic politics, corporate policies and numerous
people
that need to be communicated with, in order to successfullly
roll-out and
implement new processes and procedures.
Project Management:
Building call centers, upgrading operating systems, implementing a
new
software program, and resolving business issues are all projects that
Chris has
managed over his career. Although he is not a formally trained
PMP he has
managed multiple major projects simultaneously to overcome several
business
crises.
Vendor Management:
Getting your outsourced vendors to meet the requirements of the
contract
along with the spirit of the contract and to ensure they do not put the
company
at risk is a full time job. Chris managed 3 separate
vendors in 3
different countries and he was able to build a strong win-win
relationship with
each vendor, thus ensuring that his Company got MORE value than
stipulated by
contracts.
Service Desk Improvements:
Converting a standard help desk into an ITIL Service Desk is no
easy task
and Chris has experience in taking on this challenge. The
improvements
that can be obtained require a dedicated, focused and enduring leader
like
Chris to make positive changes that will unite the support teams.
Desktop Support:
From the apple IIe computer to an HP Elite Book 8440 i7 processor,
Chris
has provided thousands of clients with outstanding support directly or
from his
fabulous support teams. Chris has experience in all aspects of
the Tier 1
and 2 support including computers, monitors and printers. He has
definitely mastered developing world class support organizations thru
mission-oriented tasks, a mutual respect for his employees, and a
process-driven technique for resolving issues.
Solution Development:
Why are we here? To take the business problems and convert
them into
IT solutions. Note the goal is not to develop IT solutions but
rather fix
the business problem. I have the perfect solution to your
problem, it
is just so expensive that you cannot buy it (sounds like no solution at
all).
Finding a solution that fits within the business structure,
budget, and
willingness to implement are factors that are all important with
developing /
solving a business problem.
Application Management:
For a large implementation of an application someone needs to be
responsible for keeping it updated, fighting for discounts on the price
of the
application, and ensuring that you are licensed properly. This is
a role
that Chris has spent several years working and succeeding at.
Customer Services:
As IT becomes a business unit, the need for IT Professionals to
understand
and encourage a strong customer service model are becoming more and
more
important. Chris has always been a strong supporter and enforcer
of
treating the internal and external customers as "Customers".
Leadership:
Chris has worked arduously for years to be a strong leader,
fostered by his
Marine Corps training and other business experiences he has shown his
ability
to lead people. Getting the mission accomplished is the primary
goal, but
ensuring the team / people are taken care of to be able to complete the
mission
is also extremely important.
Doing the Impossible:
On
occasion, walking on
water for short periods of time are the norm. A philosophy of:
whether
you think you can or you think you can't, you are probably right. CHRIS THINKS HE CAN!
